JUDGMENT

The accused in S.C.No.108 of 2005 on the file of the learned Additional Assistant Sessions Judge, Cuddalore Div, Virudhachalam, is the Appellant herein. By the judgment dated 30.9.2008, the Appellant was convicted for the offence under Section 306 I.P.C. (3 counts) and sentenced to undergo seven years rigorous imprisonment each and imposed a fine of Rs.2,000/- each, in default, to undergo two months rigorous imprisonment each and was convicted for the offence under Section 498(A) I.P.C. and sentenced to undergo two years simple imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs.1,000/-, in default, to undergo one month simple imprisonment. Aggrieved over the said conviction and sentence, the appellant has come up with the present appeal.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the appellant had already undergone the entire period of sentence imposed on him and he was released from the prison. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. In view of the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, I am of the opinion, nothing survives in this appeal for adjudication and the appeal has become infructuous. Hence, the criminal appeal is dismissed as infructuous.
