Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus calling for the records made in C3/D.O.No.14/2021 and C3/1806/2021 dated 20.03.2021 on the file of second respondent herein and quash the same as illegal and direct the respondents to produce the detenu Sankar S/o.Chinnapillai, aged 62 years, now confined at Central Prison, Vellore, before this Court and set him at liberty.

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J] The petitioner is the son-in-law of the detenu viz., Sankar S/o.Chinnapillai, aged 62 years, who has been detained by the second respondent by his order in C3/D.O.No.14/2021 dated 20.03.2021, holding him to be a "Goonda", as contemplated under Section 2(f) of Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The said order is under challenge in this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Learned Government Advocate [Crl.side] and learned counsel for the petitioner submit that the detenu Sankar S/o.Chinnapillai has died on 28.05.2021 and hence, the present petition has become infructuous.

In view of the above, this petition is closed as it has become infructuous.
