Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to pass orders for granting of Family Pension to the petitioner as sanctioned in PPO No: FA575829/EDN/ Pen 16 /IV/P180-682 FP/98-99, based on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 24.06.2015 and the proposal forwarded in Na.Ka.No.155/A1/2021 dated 15.02.2021 with all consequential and other attendant benefits with payment of arrears of Family Pension with interest.

Mr.Vijay Shankar, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of first respondent. Mr.P.Raja, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of second and third respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner preferred this writ petition for a direction directing the respondents to pass orders for granting of Family Pension to the petitioner as sanctioned in PPO No: FA575829/EDN/ Pen 16 /IV/P-180-682 FP/98-99, based on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 24.06.2015 and the proposal forwarded in Na.Ka.No.155/A1/2021 dated 15.02.2021 with all consequential and other attendant benefits with payment of arrears of Family Pension with interest.

3. Heard the submissions made on either side and perused the materials available on record.

4. Considering the limited prayer, a direction is given to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.06.2015 in the light of the proposal forwarded by the third respondent dated 15.02.2021, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
