The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent herein to file a final report or charge sheet in Crime No.RC0322022A005 of 2022 on the file of the respondent.

2. The case of the petitioner is that one Joseph Peter Antony, who is an employee of NLC India Limited, got a bribe of Rs.27,46,000/- from the petitioner/de facto complainant for arranging employment in South Western Railway to her and her husband and cheated her. Based on the complaint given by the de facto complainant, the First Information Report in Crime No.RC0322022A005 was registered on 31.05.2022. However, the investigation has not been completed so far, thereby, the present petition has been filed.

3. Learned Special Public Prosecutor for CBI Cases submitted that the accused in this case apart from the petitioner herein, have cheated several others and as far as this case (Crime No.RC0322022A005) is concerned, the investigation has been completed and three final reports have been filed before 2/4

the learned Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore on 28.02.2023, however, the trial Court is yet to take cognizance.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Public Prosecutor for CBI Cases and perused the materials available on record.

5. Recording the submissions made by the learned Special Public Prosecutor for CBI Cases that the investigation in this case has been completed and the final reports have been filed and are yet to take cognizance by the trial Court, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed. 20.03.2024 Index : Yes / No Speaking / Non-speaking ham To
