ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to pay Wages under the Minimum Wages Act to the employees working under the second respondent's municipality as sweepers, temporary employees, daily wage employees, adhoc appointees, casual workers and contractual employees pursuant to the G.O.Ms.2(D)No.62 dated 11.10.2017 within the time fixed by this Court.
2. The above Government Order has been issued by revising the minimum wages for daily wagers employed under the Local Authority. Similar such writ petition has been filed by some other Sangam of
Pudukkottai District in W.P.No.14956/2019 and in which a direction has been given to consider the representation and pass orders. In the instant case, the petitioner has given a representation for implementing the above Government Order and revise the minimum wages. In fact the Commissioner of Municipal Administration, himself has issued letters to all the Municipality and Corporation vide his letter dated 18.05.2018 in Na.Ka.No.13920/2018/J2 by directing the authorities concerned to implement the Government Order dated 11.10.2017 and revise the wages.
3. Despite repeated representations have been given by the petitioner and no orders have been passed so far, I feel it is appropriate to issue suitable direction to the respondents to consider the representation and pass suitable orders.

In the result, the Writ Petition is allowed and the petitioner shall give a fresh representation in this regard to the respondents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same respondents are directed to pass orders for revising the wages
in the light of the G.O.Ms.No.2(D) No.62 dated 11.10.2017 and also the letter of the Secretary, Municipal Administration dated 18.05.2018, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of the representation from the petitioner.
