Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 22.08.2020 regarding promotion to the post of Assistant Commissioner of Police (Armed Reserve) on par with his batch-mates in the light of the Division Bench judgment in W.A.No.52 of 2015 dated 21.09.2017 which is confirmed by the Supreme Court in SLP (C) No.23702/2018 dated 03.10.2018 within a time frame.

ORDER

Mr.A.Aruldoss, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

3.Considering the limited prayer, a direction is given to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 22.08.2020, in the light of the Division Bench judgment in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

W.A.No.52 of 2015 dated 21.09.2017 which is confirmed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in SLP (C) No.23702/2018 dated 03.10.2018, and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
