O R D E R
Heard Mr.N.Subramani, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Varunkumar, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.
2.With the consent of learned counsel appearing on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal, at the admission stage itself.
3.The petitioner's father applied for a free agricultural electricity service connection on 22.08.1988 and the same was registered as Application No.113. When the said application had reached the relevant seniority, the petitioner's father was not alive and therefore, the petitioner, made a representation dated 27.01.2016 to the respondents stating that the propety in question has been settled in his favour, by his father and he is ready to accept the electricity service connection. Based on such representation, the fourth respondent has called upon the petitioner to produce the relevant documents. According to the petitioner, he has produced all the relevant documents and the matter is now pending before the fourth respondent.
4.The learned counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the fourth respondent may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation.
5.In the light of the above, there will be a direction to the fourth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.01.2016, call upon the petitioner to appear in person and produce all the documents, and if the fourth respondent is satisfied that the petitioner is eligible to get electricity service connection, then appropriate orders shall be passed, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
