ORDER

Heard Mrs.Hema Sampath, learned Senior Counsel assisted by Mrs.R.Meenal, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.Venkataramani, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr.A.N.Thambi Durai, learned Special Government Pleader and Mr.O.R.Maheswaran, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent. The present contempt petition has been filed by the petitioner for the non-compliance of the order of this Court made in WP.No.27784/2016 dated 20.09.2016 by the respondent herein.

The respondent/contemnor, viz., Dr.G.Selvarajan, Additional Director of Medical Education/Secretary, Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Council, Kilpauk, Chennai-10, is present before this Court today. The learned Additional Advocate General submitted that as against the order passed in the writ petition, a writ appeal has been preferred in WA.No.1227/2016 and the matter is likely to be listed tomorrow [29.09.2016] before the Division Bench of this Court. The learned Additional

Advocate General, on instructions from the officer, who is present in Court, representing the Selection Committee, submitted that the petitioner would be granted admission to the MBBS Course, subject to the outcome of the writ appeal, which has been filed by the respondents. The said submission is placed on record.

Recording the same, the contempt petition is closed and the respondent is directed to issue the Admission Letter to the petitioner by today.
