ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondents for their wilful disobedience of the order of this Court passed in W.P.No.21391 of 2019 dated 30.07.2019.

2.The learned counsel for the respondents made a submission that the order passed by this Court has already been complied with and in this regard, the retirement benefits for which the petitioner is eligible was paid to him as per the Rules in force.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner made a submission that the benefits are to be granted from August 2019. However, the Court passed an order that the 2/5

benefits as admissible are to be paid with twelve equated monthly instalments from August 2019. Therefore, the date was fixed for commencing the payment of terminal benefits and the eligibility of the writ petitioner was not adjudicated in a writ petition. Thus, if any grievance exists to the writ petitioner, he is at liberty to approach the competent authorities in the manner known to law for the purpose of redressal of his grievances.
