Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to issue appointment order to the petitioners, for the post of Special Teachers i.e. for petitioners 1 to 3 in Drawing and for petitioners 4 to 6 in Sewing, based on their selection and certificate verification done on 10.02.2021. O R D E R

Mr.P.Raja, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the first respondent. Mr.C.Munusamy, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the second respondent. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioners are Special Teachers appointed on part-time basis. Thereafter, they underwent some special tests and were selected in the year 2019. They were called for certificate verification and at that stage, due to the intervention of some Government Orders and the orders passed by this Court, the appointment process could not be continued. Even though the matter is still pending without any finalization, the respondents said to have initiated the process of fresh appointment / recruitment. Therefore, the petitioners made a representation dated 25.01.2021 to the first respondent. Since no order has been passed by the first respondent on the representation made by the petitioners, the petitioners are before this Court.

3. Heard the submissions made on either side and perused the materials available on record.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, a direction is given to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 25.01.2021 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Till such time, the respondents are directed to keep one post vacant for each petitioner.

6. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
