O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records relating to the impugned proceedings issued by the 1st respondent vide his Proceedings No.G1/4885/2020/GA dated 24.08.2020 and its subsequent extensions issued 2/6
by the 4th respondent vide his Proceedings No.G1/4885/2020/GA dated 03.12.2020, 19.03.2021, 20.08.2021 and 18.02.2022 and to quash the same and consequently, directing the respondents to revoke the suspension of the petitioner and restore his services with all attendant benefits accordingly. 2.
According to the petitioner, the petitioner was working as Private Secretary to the Deputy Chairman of Chennai Port Authority) and he was rendered service more than 34 years in the said authority. Thereafter, he was placed under suspension by the 1st respondent by the Proceedings No.G1/448/2020/GA, dated 24.08.2020, without issuing any show cause notice nor framing any charge memo. The said disciplinary proceedings is still pending. According to the petitioner, he was placed under prolonged suspension by the 1st respondent. Therefore, he made a representation dated 03.02.2021 to the 1st respondent for revocation of the impugned suspension order and for enhancement of subsistence allowance. The said representation is still pending, no order has been passed. Hence, he has filed the instant writ petition before this Court.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the 1st to 4th respondents submitted the said representation would be considered and pass appropriate orders.

In view of the above submissions made by the parties and without expressing any opinion on merits, this Court is inclined to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.02.2021 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law and by taking note of the aforesaid fact, as expeditiously as possible, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs. 24.06.2022 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No dm 4/6
