O R D E R

The petition is to quash the F.I.R in No.8 of 2022 for the offences under Sections 498 (A), 352, 323 & 312 of IPC and 4 of TNPHW Act.

2. Today, when the matter was called, it is brought to the notice of the Court that the parties have arrived at a settlement and the second respondent has decided to withdraw the allegations in the FIR and has no objection for quashing of the same on the basis of the compromise.

3. Both the parties are present today and have signed the Joint Memo of Compromise. Ms.N.Kalaiyarasi, Special Sub Inspector of Police, W5 All Women Police Station, Vepery, Chennai, who has appeared before this Court has identified the parties. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, no useful purpose would be served in keeping the proceedings on the file of the 1st respondent Police 2/4

pending. Hence, the impugned F.I.R is quashed. The said Joint Memo of Compromise is taken on record.

4. With the above observations, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. No costs.
