ORDER

The petitioner has come up with this Criminal Original Petition to direct the the respondent to grant permission and police protection to conduct the cultural event viz., Adal Padal (Song and Dance) program scheduled to be held on 24.03.2020 at 6.00 pm in connection with the temple festival in Sri Mariyamman Thirukovil, Vallipuram Village, Namakkal Taluk and District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 15.03.2020. 2.When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent drew the attention of this Court to Clause-14 of the order passed by the Government of Tamil Nadu in G.O.(Ms.)No.347, Public Health and Welfare Department dated 16.03.2020 wherein it is stated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

that permissions should not be granted to conduct processions, meetings, summer classes, camps, business exhibitions, games and any other similar types of programmes involving large number of people till 31.03.2020. Pointing out to the same, she submitted that the petitioner is not entitled to seek the relief as prayed for in this Criminal Original Petition.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner has also accepted the same and made an endorsement in the case bundle that he may be permitted to withdraw this Criminal Original Petition. 4.In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
