PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents herein, to produce the friend of the petitioner namely Dhivya, aged about 23 years and set her at liberty before this Court and to set her liberty. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH, J.) The petitioner claiming to be a friend of the detenue Dhivya, aged about 23 years, has stated that she has been illegally confined in the house of the respondents 4 & 5 herein.

2. Incidentally, the detenue is aged about 23 years and the respondents 4 & 5 are her father and brother respectively.

3. Today, when the matter was called, the respondent Police had produced the detenue before us. On communication, the girl expressed us that she intends to live and reside with her parents only and that she is not under compulsion or illegal custody of the respondents 4 & 5.

4. When the major girl had expressed her willingness and has also stated that she is not in illegal custody of the respondents 4 & 5, the prayer sought for in this petition, does not deserve consideration.
