Respondent(s) PRAYER Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India directing the respondents to take immediate action and pass Government orders for the establishment of an Additional District Court, Erode at Perundurai in the readily available Heritage Building at Perundurai Taluk (Old Judicial Magistrate Court Building) within a time frame fixed by this Honourable Court in compliance of the order dated 05.11.2025 passed by this Honourable Court in WP. No.41645 of 2025 by considering the representations of the petitioner dated 18.11.2025, 27.11.2025 and 23.01.2026 to the respondents respectively.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) The present writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeks a direction to the respondents to take immediate action for establishment of an Additional District Court, Erode at Perundurai in the readily available heritage building at Perundurai Taluk (Old Judicial Magistrate Court Building).
2. In this regard, a status report has been filed on behalf of respondents 1 and 2, wherein it is stated that after the proposal was received from the Registrar General of this High Court and upon detailed examination of the proposal, the Government has decided to consider the constitution of Additional District and Sessions Court at Perundurai in Erode District in the upcoming financial year 2026-2027 on a priority basis.
3. As the State has come up with the stand that the Court would be established during the financial year 2026-2027 on priority basis, no further adjudication is required in this petition. Writ Petition is, accordingly, disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
