O R D E R

The petitioner seeks a mandamus directing the Tahsildar, Sholinganallur to consider representation dated 14.12.2023. He seeks a positive direction to the respondent to issue a legal heir certificate arraying him as a legal heir of his brother late.Gunasekaran S/o late Ramachandran.

2.However, since the prayer of the petitioner in the representation dated 14.12.2023 is also to similar effect, it would be appropriate to simply direct the sole respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders thereupon, after hearing him, in accordance with law.

3.To be noted that the request of the petitioner to be arrayed as a legal heir of his brother late Gunasekaran is premised on the fact that Mrs.Usha, who is wife of his brother late Gunasekaran has also passed away on 17.09.2023. These are questions of fact that are to be looked into by the authorities concerned.

4.For this purpose, let the respondent call upon the petitioner and any other person, deemed necessary for proper adjudication of the matter on merits, hear them, and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

5.This writ petition is disposed. No costs.
