ORDER

The Writ petition has been filed in the nature of a Certiorarified Mandamus seeking records relating to the suspension passed by the first respondent/ the District Collector at Tiruvallur on 17.08.2024 and to quash the same.

2.The petitioner was working as Zonal Deputy Tahsildar at Mannargudi Taluk. Consequent to a complaint given of demand of bribe amount, a trap was laid and the trap was successful and the petitioner was caught at the time of demand and acceptance of the bribe amount. In this connection, Vigilance and Anti Corruption Department had registered FIR in crime No.2 of 2024 for the offences under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 as amended in the year 2018. The petitioner had been taken into custody on 16.08.2024 and remanded and released on bail only on 09.09.2024. He had been therefore placed under suspension by the first respondent. 3.It is contended on behalf of the first, second and third respondents that investigation is still pending and that the investigation is at crucial stages.

4.Let the investigation be completed and final report be filed and thereafter, the petitioner may seek the same relief. At this stage, I am not inclined to grant the relief of revocation of suspension. The writ petition stands dismissed, however, to file a fresh writ petition again after the completion of investigation. No Costs. The petitioner has also impleaded the fourth respondent/ de facto complainant. The de facto complainant is not required in this writ petition. Therefore, the Registry may delete the fourth respondent from the cause title and carry out necessary correction in the cause title and then issue the order copy.
