Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for the respondents and is armed with instructions to enable final disposal of this Writ Petition, even at the stage of admission.

2. The prayer of the petitioner is for a mandamus directing the officials of TANGEDCO to consider her representation dated 23.01.2024 for new service connection to the property at No.155, Dr.Ambedkar Nagar, 57th Block, Manali New Town, Chennai - 600 103.

3. Mr.Jai Venkatesh would accede to the receipt of representation/application and would assure the Court as well as the petitioner that the same will be disposed expeditiously in line with the principles of natural justice.

4. Hence, mandamus is issued to R2 to process the application, hear the petitioner and take a decision in accordance with law and all applicable Rules and regulations, within a period of four (4) weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.
