ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J] This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents herein to produce the petitioner's daughter S.Taneesha d/o.K.A.Shainsha, aged about 19 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Taneesha went missing from 02.01.2022. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the police are not taking effective steps to secure his daughter.

3. On instructions, learned Additional Public Prosecutor https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

submitted that based on the complaint of the petitioner, a case in Arumbakkam P.S.Crime No.7 of 2022 was registered for "woman missing" on 03.01.2022. Investigation revealed that the detenue was in love with one Madhan Kumar and the father of the said Madhan Kumar has also given a complaint and in this regard, a petition enquiry in CSR No.6 of 2022 is pending before the Ammainaicken Police Station.

4. In the aforestated circumstances, we direct the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Annanagar, to supervise the investigation in Arumbakkam P.S.Crime No.7 of 2022 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue is secured, she shall be produced before the V Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders.

With the above direction, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed.
