ORDER

[Order of the Court by C.T.SELVAM, J.] Petitioner, who is the father of the detenue viz., P.Nandini, aged 21 years, seeks production of his daughter.

2. Heard learned counsel for petitioner, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondents 1 and 2 as also learned counsel appearing for the detenue.

3. Yesterday, the detenue has appeared on her own volition and informed engaging the services of learned Counsel Ms.Meenakumari. At request of learned counsel for petitioner, the matter was adjourned today. Today, the petitioner and his wife are also present. Their daughter-the detenue in no uncertain terms has informed her disinclination to return to the matrimonial home. She has sworn to an affidavit dated 28.03.2018 informing that she was in love with one Kamal, but despite her parents being informed they tried to give her in marriage to her maternal uncle's son and in such circumstances, she left the parental home. She has inter alia stated that the parents of the said Kamal had accepted the relationship between Kamal and herself and they eventually would enter upon marriage.

The affidavit further informs that she intends to continue her studies as she is in the final year of B.E. (ECE) Course at SKR Engineering College, Poonamallee. She has presently informed that she is staying in a private hostel. Although detenue has moved Crl.O.P.No.8117 of 2018 seeking registration of a case against her parents, she presently informs that no further action is necessary on the complaint.

4. In such circumstances, this Habeas Corpus Petition shall stand closed.
