ORDER

This writ petition is filed for a mandamus to direct the first respondent to process the application dated 02.12.2024. By the said application, the petitioner is seeking for renewal of the gun licence pertaining to the pistol bearing No. LN31569A7A12619/DKT 136.

2. When the matter came up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), appearing on behalf of the second and third respondents, submitted that remarks had already been called for from them and that they had already submitted the remarks.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf the first respondent would submit that if ample time is given, the matter will be considered in accordance with law and orders will be passed. 2/4

4. In view thereof, this writ petition is disposed of on the following directions:- (i) The first respondent is directed to consider the application of petitioner dated 02.12.2024 for the renewal of gun license pertaining to the pistol LN31569A7A12619/DKT 136 and pass orders thereon in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and in any event, not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order, without waiting for the certified copy of the order.

(ii) No costs.
