The matter is taken up through web hearing.
2.This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent herein to consider the representation dated 21.11.2019 and dispose the same within the specific period prescribed by this Court.
3.According to the petitioner, her father one K.Paneerselvam, joined as Watchman in the respondent Board in the year 1993 and was working since 2016.
4.Unfortunately from 07.01.2016, her father has been missing and his whereabout, despite efforts by the family, is not known as on date. A complaint has also been launched to the Inspector of Police Arumbakkam, Chennai. An F.I.R. was also registered in Crime No.80/2016 dated 01.02.2016, on the basis of man missing complaint.

5.In the meanwhile, since the breadwinner of the family is missing without his whereabout being known, a representation has been given by the petitioner, being the daughter, seeking appointment on compassionate ground on the basis of missing Board employee.
6.Mr.R.Bharath Kumar, learned Standing Counsel appeared for the Tamil Nadu Housing Board and would submit that the representation of the petitioner will be considered and suitable orders will be passed based on the existing law in the issue. 7.In view of the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition and taking note of the submission made by the learned Counsel appearing for the Board, the Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to pass appropriate orders in response to the representation dated 21.11.2019 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The order may be communicated to the petitioner by the respondent authority. No costs.
