O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed for transfer of investigation in Crime No. 1127 of 2018 from the file of the second respondent to the file of C.B.C.I.D., Chennai.

2. On the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the second respondent registered the FIR in Crime No. 1127 of 2018 for the offences punishable under Sections 457 and 380 of IPC. However, so far no accused has been traced out and no one is arrested so far. The second respondent did not take any steps to recover any jewelery.

3. On the other hand, the learned Government Advocate Mr.A.Gopinath, submitted that after registration of the FIR, all the things taken from the scene of crime and also compared with all other habitual offenders, no one is matching and also conducted enquiry. At this stage, if the investigation transfer from the file of the file of the second respondent to any other investigating agency, it will affect entire investigation already done by the second respondent.

4. In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to transfer the investigation from the file of the second respondent in Crime No. 1127 of 2018. However, the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Selaiyur is directed to monitor the investigation done by the second respondent.

6. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
