ORDER

This petition has been filed by the petitioner praying this Court to punish the respondent for wilful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in W.P. No.20261 of 2016 dated 16.06.2016.

2. When the matter was taken up, learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted the report of the Tahsildar, wherein it has been stated that after due enquiry it is found that the land in question is a patta land. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner is not able to countenance the said stand of the respondent.

3. When the land in question is a patta land, as is evident from the report filed by the Tahsildar, there cannot be any question of encroachment on the said land. In such view of the matter, devoid of merits, this contempt petition is liable to be closed.

3. Recording the report filed by the first respondent, this contempt petition stands closed.

Consequently, connected Sub Appln. No.7 of 2017 is also closed in view of the report filed by the respondent.
