By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondents to provide the allotment letter issued to Mrs.Govindammal wife of Samy Reddy in respect of the Flat No.5, B Block, Ramakrishnapuram Chennai-600 017 on the basis of the Right to Information Letter dated 29.5.2025 to disclose the name of the nominee found in the original allotment letter issued by the 1st respondent in the year 1979

It is the case of the petitioner that her mother Govindammal was alloted No.5, B-Block, Ramakrishnapuram, Chennai and her mother had nominated the petitioner and the same is reflected in the allotment letter issued in the year 1979. His mother died on 15.01.1995. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the documents were swept away in rain and some third parties are allowed to take over the possession, when the EB stands in his name. The petitioner has sought for providing the allotment letter issued to his mother which is pending without consideration. Hence, this writ petition.

4. Though the learned counsel for the petitioner sought for information regarding the allotment letter, now, seeks for a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.10.2020 seeking for

transfer of allotment in his favour.

5. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court without going into the merits of the case directs the first respondent to consider the letter of the petitioner dated 28.10.2020 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law in terms of the Act and Regulations after giving appropriate opportunities to the other legal heirs, if any of the petitioner's mother within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
