Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the entire records culminating in the detention of the petitioner's husband Kaipillairaj @ Varadharaj, son of Saravanan, under Act 14 of 1982 vide detention order dated 21.03.2021 on the file of the 2nd respondent herein, made in proceedings in Rc.No.C2/6742/2021 quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents herein to produce the body and person of the said detenu Kaipillairaj @ Varadharaj, son of Saravanan, before this Court and thereafter set him liberty from Central Prison, Cuddalore.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in Rc.No.C2/6742/2021 dated 21.03.2021, detaining her husband as "Goonda" under Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.2081, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 04.05.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
