PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to constitute a High level Judicial Committee with sitting Judges along with one or two Women Organizations to monitor the investigation process of Pollachi Sexual Scandal case periodically and to file report before this Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to constitute a High level Judicial Committee with sitting Judges along with one or two Women Organizations to monitor the investigation process of Pollachi Sexual Scandal case periodically and to file report before this Court.

2. When the case is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Criminal Original Petition has become infructuous.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) invited attention of this Court to the prayer sought for in this petition, seeking direction from this Court to constitute a High Level Judicial Committee with sitting Judges and Retired High Court Judges along with one or two Women Organizations to monitor the investigation process of Pollachi Sexual Scandal case periodically and to file a report before this Court.

4. As per the submissions of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), the case was transferred from the Local Police, Coimbatore to the CBI. The CBI had conducted investigation, laid the charge sheet before the Mahila Court, Coimbatore in Session Court and the case has been committed to the Court of Sessions Judge, Mahila Court and numbered as SC.No.20 of 2020. Hence, nothing survives for consideration in this petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
