ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 1 and 3 herein to accord permission to the villagers to conduct "Eruthu Vidum Vizha" (vUJ tpLk; tpHh) event on 13.04.2023 or any other subsequent dates, in view of Arulmigu Karagathamma Devi Temple Function at Kalugopachandiram Village, Denkanikottai Taluk, Krishnagiri District and publish the name of the said village in the District Government Gazette in the light of the recommendation report dated 28.02.2023 sent by the third respondent to first respondent herein, by considering the petitioner's representations dated 12.01.2023 and 09.03.2023 in accordance with law forthwith without any further delay.

The case of the petitioner is that during the annual pongal festival, on behalf of the residents of the above said Village, Eruthu Vidum Vizha event will be celebrated every year involving about 300 Bulls and more than 10,000 people will participate in the said function. The above said event is fixed to be conducted on 13.04.2023. Seeking permission to conduct the said event at Arulmigu Karagathamman Devi Temple Festival, Kalugopachandiram Village on 13.04.2023 and to include the name of their Village in the Government Gazette, the petitioner and other villagers submitted representations dated 12.01.2023 and 09.03.2023 before the first and third respondents. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

Though very many grounds have been raised in the present writ petition, it would suffice if this Court may issues a direction to the first and third respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 12.01.2023 and 09.03.2023 and pass appropriate orders, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

4. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the 3/6

respondents has no objection for said order being passed.

5. Heard learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the first and third respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 12.01.2023 and 09.03.2023and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as aggrieved persons if any, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
