(CRIME NO.215 OF 2013) Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to extend the time to furnish surreties as imposed in Crl.M.P. No.578 of 2022 in Crl.A.No.40 of 2022 dated 27.01.2022 by this Hon'ble Court and thus render justice.

Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.J.BHARATHI RAJA, Advocate for the petitioner and of MR.LEONARD ARUL JOSEPH SELVAM,Govt. Advocate ( Crl. Side)on behalf of the Respondent the court made the following order:- This petition has been filed to extend the time for furnishing the sureties as directed by this Court vide order dated 27.01.2022 in Crl.M.P.No.578 of 2022 in Crl.A.No.40 of 2022. 2.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that, due to covid-19 pandemic, the petitioner, is not in a position to appear before the trial Court along with sureties and execute the bail bond.

Now, on considering the said submission with the relevant records, all are aware, the Courts are came into normal functioning from the month of February 2022 onwards. Further, this petition has https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

been filed beyond the period of 15 days, which was fixed by this Court for executing the bail bond. It shows that without any bona fide reasons, this petition has been filed by the petitioner and therefore, this petition is not having any merits and the same is dismissed. The trial Court is directed to issue a fresh NBW and after securing the accused, commit him into the prison for undergoing the remaining period of sentence.
