This writ petition is filed for issuing writ of mandamus directing the respondent to issue legal heir certificate based on the application of the petitioner dated 16.09.2015. 2.The petitioner would state that her husband died on 08.12.1965 leaving behind the petitioner, his sons and two daughters as his legal heirs. Subsequently, one of the son by name Krishnakumar also died on 02.07.2015. The petitioner is also one of the legal heir of his deceased son by name Krishnakumar. The petitioner applied for legal heir certificate in a prescribed format before the respondent on 16.09.2015, with all relevant records. But so far, the respondent has not considered the application of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner approached this Court by way of writ petition. 3.Heard the submissions of Mr.G.Dinesh Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 16.09.2015 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner. 5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
