This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.20 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police.
2. Reading of the FIR indicates that the fight between the brothers and sisters led to filing of the case. Now, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the siblings have settled their dispute and compromised the matter. Hence, he wants the complaint to be quashed.
3. If the parties have decided to bury their dispute and live in harmony, there is no necessity for this criminal complaint. The petitioner shall report it before the respondent police and the respondent police shall record the statements of the complainant in both the cases and decide in accordance with the terms of their settlement.
