This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to secure the accused in Crime No.718 of 2016 within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

2.By consent of both sides, this Criminal Original Petition is taken up for disposal.

3.Though the petitioner has sought for a direction to the respondent to secure the accused in connection with Cr.No.718 of 2016, such a prayer cannot be considered since it is prerogative of the Investigating Officer to consider the same. However, since investigation has been kept pending from 2016 onwards, it would be appropriate to direct the respondent to complete the same as expeditiously as possible. 4.With the above observation and direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
