ORDER
The relief sought for in this petition is to direct the 2nd respondent police to provide police protection to the petitioner to reconstruct her house at Door No.158 Road Street, Ganapathipuram Village & Post, Arakkonam Taluk, Vellore District - 631 051 based on her representation dated 21.03.2018.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that she had built a hut in the poramboke land and the hut was set on fire on 09.09.2017, by one Arumugam and Selvam. Hence, the petitioner gave a representation dated 23.10.2017 to the respondent police and thereafter filed the present petition with the above prayer. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. Heard Mr. P. Balamurugan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. C. Raghavan, learned Govt. Advocate (Crl. Side) for the respondents.
4. Mr. P. Balamurugan, learned counsel submitted that the said Arumugam and Selvam has set fire to the petitioner's hut on account of which the petitioner is forced to reside in the bus stand.
5. Per contra, learned Govt. Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the enquiry conducted by the police reveals that Arumugam and Selvam were not responsible for the fire accident. Be that as it may, this Court cannot issue a direction as prayed for by the petitioner and permit the petitioner to put up a hut in a Government poramboke land.
6. Hence, this petition is closed, with liberty to the petitioner to work out her remedy in the manner known to law. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. s/d- Assistant Registrar(CS-III) True Copy Sub-Assistant Registrar avr To
