ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.DURAISWAMY,J.) The petitioner has filed the above writ petition praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to issue Community Certificate to his children viz., P.Prasanth and P.Prabavathi that they belong to "Kurumans" Scheduled Tribes Community based upon the proceedings of the Tamil Nadu State Level Scrutiny Committee passed in Proceedings No.9654/CVIII/2014 dated 30.03.2015 in favour the petitioner and his children.

It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner has given a representation dated 16.04.2015 for the issuance of the Community Certificate and that the respondent had conducted an enquiry on 04.05.2015. However, according to the petitioner, inspite https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

of the enquiry being conducted on 04.05.2015, the respondent has not passed any order on the representation dated 16.04.2015.

3. Mr.R.Ravichandran, learned Additional Government Pleader who took notice on behalf of the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to pass orders on the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 16.04.2015, within a stipulated time.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, we direct the respondent to pass orders on the representation made by the petitioner dated 16.04.2015 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
