PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus to direct respondents 1 and 2 to produce the detenue Akalya, D/O Ragunath, bodily before this Court and restore the legal custody of the detenue Akalya, D/O Ragunath. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by K.KALYANASUNDARAM,J) The alleged detenue Akalya is produced before this Court today by the respondent police. The detenue has given a statement that she is ready to reside with her father and pursue her studies.

2. The said statement of the detenue is recorded.

3. This Court on 27.4.2017, issued notice to the third respondent for cancellation of the bail granted by the learned Sessions Judge, Mahalir Neethi Mandram, Villupuram dated 18.4.2017.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that the bail granted to the third respondent was already cancelled and he is now remanded to judicial custody.

5. In view of the above submission, no further orders are necessary in this petition.
