ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.10.2021, whereby she sought to change her daughter's name as "Devasena Karthick" and to issue fresh birth certificate as per the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Entry No. 2276 dated 31.01.2018.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner.

3.Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 20.10.2021 will be considered and disposed of as expeditiously as possible. 4.Considering the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and in view of the limited prayer sought for in this Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.10.2021, on merits and in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be carried out by the respondent within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
