Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner applications dated 28.06.2014

and 13.10.2014 and transfer the petitioner to nereby home town as choice posting as per standing order 1/2014.

ORDER

The petitioner is a Constable in the Central Reserve Police Force. He served in different places right from his initial appointment, on 30.06.1985. The petitioner is due to retire on 31.07.2017. The petitioner, through proper channel, submitted a representation to the third respondent to post him in Tamil Nadu. However, the representation was not taken up for consideration by the third respondent. The petitioner is therefore before this Court.

2. The third respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner, dated 13.10.2014, taking into account the fact that he is due to retire on 31.07.2017 and his family condition, including the necessity to give his daughters in marriage. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
