ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN, J.] Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents.

2. This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the petitioners, praying that this Court may be pleased to issue a direction to the respondent, to trace the detenu Shanmugam, S/o.Natesan, aged about 90 years and to produce him before this Court .

3. At this stage of the hearing of the Habeas Corpus Petition, a detailed status report, dated 12.01.2017, has been filed before this Court. The details of the steps taken by the respondent, to trace the detenu, has been given in the said status report. On a perusal of the status report filed by the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent, we are convinced that necessary steps are being taken to trace the detenu. Hence, no further orders are necessary.

4. Therefore, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed. However, the respondent shall continue the investigation to trace the detenu and to take necessary steps in accordance with law.
