... Respondents Prayer:- Contempt petition has been filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, praying to punish the respondents for having committed contempt by wilful disobedience of the order of this Court made in W.P.No.20681 of 2024 dated 26.07.2024.

ORDER

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondents for non compliance of the order dated 26.07.2024, passed by this Court in W.P.No.20681 of 2024, thereby directed the respondents to follow the guidelines issued in Clause 5(e) of G.O.(Ms)No.321 to 328 dated 31.10.2018 as as per clause 9 of 12(3) Settlement dated 28.09.1995, while placing the medically affected drivers and conductors in alternative employment. 2.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the writ petition itself was filed for direction to the respondents to follow the guidelines issued in Clause 5(e) of G.O.(Ms)No.321 to 328 dated 31.10.2018 and as per clause 9 of 12(3) Settlement dated 28.09.1995. However, the respondents failed to follow the same.

The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that insofar as the petitioners are concerned, six out of eight were given light duty, following guidelines and as per the settlement. Two of them were medically unfit and they were not given light duty. He further submitted

that the respondents are strictly following the guidelines issued in Clause 5(e) of G.O.(Ms)No.321 to 328 dated 31.10.2018 and the Clause 9 of 12(3) Settlement dated 28.09.1995 and accordingly the petitioners were given light duty.

Recording the above submissions, this Contempt Petition is closed.
