ORDER
This revision is fixed to direct the Execution Court before which E.P.No.16 of 2018 is pending for executing an award passed in L.A.O.P.No.18 of 2016.
2. The case of the revision petitioner is that his lands were acquired by the Government sometime in 2013 for implementation of certain projects by TANGEDCO, and an award came to be passed on 30.11.2013, wherein the compensation awarded by LAO was a meagre sum of Rs.1,269/- per cent, and that on 07.09.2014, the petitioner was paid 80% of the compensation amount under protest. Thereafter, the revision petitioner preferred a claim petition in L.A.O.P.No.18 of 2016, wherein vide order dated 27.02.2018, the Special Sub Court for LAOP cases, Vellore has enhanced the compensation amount to Rs.5,000/- per cent, and that the petitioner has 2/4
filed E.P.No.16 of 2018, and the same is pending for close to four years now. Hence, he seeks speedy disposal of E.P.No.16 of 2018 in L.A.O.P.No.18 of 2016.
3. The learned counsel for the TANGEDCO / the beneficiary makes a statement that they would abide by what the Land Acquisition Officer instructs.
4. Heard both sides. The first respondent, the Land Acquisition Officer (RDO), Sathuvachari, Vellore is now required to deposit 50% of the enhanced amount before the Tribunal to the credit of the case, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
