Crl.OP.No.8019 of 2019 PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Udhagamandalam, the Nilgiris to expedite the trial in S.T.C.Nos.895 of 2017 and 441 of 2018 within the stipulated period.

For Petitioners : Mr.J.Bharathiraja C O M M O N O R D E R These Criminal Original Petitions have been filed seeking for a direction to learned Judicial Magistrate, Udhagamandalam, Nilgiris to expedite the trial in S.T.C.Nos.895 of 2017 and 441 of 2018.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and perused the materials on record.

3. It is seen that a private complaint was filed in S.T.C.Nos.895 of 2017 and 441 of 2018, as against the respondents respectively, before the Judicial Magistrate, Udhagamandalam, Nilgiris for the offence under Sections 190 and 200 of Cr.P.C r/w. Section 138 and 142 of Negotiable Instrument (amendment) Act 1988 and the case is pending for trial.

Considering the fact that the Calendar Case is of the year 2017 & 2018 respectively, this Court deems it fit to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, Udhagamandalam, Nilgiris to complete the trial proceedings in S.T.C.Nos.895 of 2017 and 441 of 2018, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, these Criminal Original Petitions are disposed of.
