[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant one month ordinary leave without escort to the petitioner / convict Manikandan, S/o.Late. Elango (CT No.22330) now confined at Central Prison, Coimbatore.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] appearing for the respondents.

3. In this writ petition, the petitioner, who is Life Convict [CT.No.22330 undergoing life sentence in the Central Prison, Coimbatore], is seeking leave under the Tamil Nadu Suspension of Sentence Rules, 1982 .

4. On instructions, Mr.J.C.Durairaj, learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] submitted that, the petitioner has given representation dated 21.11.2020 to the second respondent and the same is under consideration.

5. In view of the above, we direct the second respondent to dispose of the representation dated 21.11.2020 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
