O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the Respondent to constitute a Managing Committee as per the scheme to Nawab Walajah Mosque Pettai, Tirunelveli District as sought vide representation dated 13.01.2023. 2.Mr.C.Shankar, learned standing counsel, takes notice for Wakf Board. 3.Heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned standing counsel appearing for the Wakf Board.

4.The representation made by the Petitioner is with regard to the appointment of Managing Committee as per the scheme provided by the Wakf Board dated 27.02.2008 and it is also brought to my notice that on 21.08.2009, following the scheme, the Committee of 9 members have been appointed. Thereafter, after the lapse of time, no member was appointed and hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

5.Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side and taking into consideration the prayer sought for by 2/4

the Petitioner, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case and without going into the rights of the parties, I am inclined to direct the Respondent to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 13.01.2023 and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.In fine, this Writ Petition is disposed of to the extent indicated above. No costs.
