records in SCO(TN&P) COMP/CHE dated 20.12.2012 communicated to the petitioner on 30.1.2013 passed by the 1st respondent and quash the same and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to order fresh selection process for the appointment for Petrol/ Diesel (MS HSD) Retail Outlet Dealership for the location/ stretch of Tiruttani to R.K.Pet in Tiruttani Taluk, Thiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu on merits considering the grievance of the petitioner submitted by him on 17.10.2012. The present writ petition was listed for final disposal on 17.04.2023 but none appeared for the petitioner on that day. In order to give further opportunity, the writ petition was listed on 19.04.2023, i.e., today, and when the matter is taken up for final hearing, again there is no representation on behalf of the writ petitioner. 2.The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the 3rd respondent was selected as a first candidate based 2/4

on the marks awarded by the selection authorities. The petitioner was in the second position and therefore he was not considered for allotment of retail outlet dealership. The 3rd respondent was appointed as retail outlet dealer on 31.03.2020 and he is continuing to be the retail outlet dealer. 3.In view of the said factum, no further adjudication is required and accordingly the writ petition stands closed.
