ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) Alleging non-compliance of the judgment dated 10.8.2023 passed in W.A.No.3553 of 2019, the respondent in the writ appeal has filed this contempt petition.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent/University submitted that the respondent/University sent a series of letters dated 21.9.2022, 17.11.2022, 27.12.2022 and 5.3.2024 requesting the petitioner to furnish certain the information, i.e., details of legal heirs, nominees, and bank account, but till date the petitioner has not furnished the same. Learned counsel for the respondent further submitted that Audit Department of the respondent/University had already calculated the terminal benefits payable to the petitioner and, therefore, the reason for non-compliance of the order passed by the writ court is the non-furnishing of the requisite information by the petitioner. A copy of the said calculation memo was handed over to

learned counsel for the petitioner in the court.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the information as sought by the respondent shall be furnished forthwith to the respondent/University and seeks liberty to make objection, if any, to the calculation memo furnished by the respondent.

4. In view of the above, the contempt petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to raise objections before an appropriate forum. The contemnor is discharged. There shall be no order as to costs.
