Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st to 3rd respondents herein to take immediate action on this writ petitioner's petition to the 1st respondent dated 21.02.2019 with regard to demolition of the left over houses of 6th and 7th respondents marked earlier in the survey as encroachments in S.No.126 of Thachur-I Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District, classified in revenue records as "Kulam" and' further order for suitable action against 1st to 3rd respondents for dereliction of duty, incompetency, abuse of the process of Hon'ble Courts, within the prescribed time limit as fixed by this Court. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) None appears for the petitioner. We have heard Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader, for respondent Nos.1 to 4 and Mr.Muniyapparaj, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, for respondent No.5.

2. The petition is filed seeking direction to the respondents to demolish the left over houses of 6th and 7th respondents marked as encroachments in S.No.126 of Thachur-I Village, Ponneri Taluk, Tiruvallur District, classified as "Kulam" in the revenue records.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader submits that earlier part of the encroachments had remained to be removed. On 24.11.2023, inspection has been caused and encroachment has been noticed. The authorities would take steps in accordance with law against the encroachers expeditiously.

In view of the said statement, the writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
