O R D E R

Writ Petition is filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to enlist or include the petitioner in the permanent list in the date of retrospective date of appointment from all wages and selected for appointment from Anna University.

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel appearing for the respondents. 3.The case of the petitioner is that he joined as temporary helper in Anna University in the year 1987. Till 2018, he employed as a temporary helper drawing monthly salary of Rs.6,500/-. Even after so many years of service, his services were not made permanent. Therefore, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondents on 28.05.2018. However, the petitioner's representation was not considered by the respondents till date. Hence this writ petition.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if this Court issues direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within the reasonable time. 5.Learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner joined as a contingency staff and he is not entitled to serve as a permanent staff. The petitioner has also completed 58 years. However, if any representation is received from the petitioner, it will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed.

6.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case along with the submissions made on either side, this Court without going into the merits of the case, hereby directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.05.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
