Prayer: - Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus to consider the petitioners representation dated 19.10.2025 and to direct the respondent to pay interest of 12 percent P.A. for delay of 600 days till the date of order in releasing the petitioners pension amount and to calculate correct D.A. and to give petitioner EL benefits difference amount.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- "to consider the petitioners representation dated 19.10.2025 and to direct the respondent to pay interest of 12 percent P.A. for delay of 600 days till the date of order in releasing the petitioners pension amount and to calculate correct D.A. and to give petitioner EL benefits difference amount."

The case of the petitioner is that he had joined the services of the respondent Corporation as a Driver and after rendering 30 years of unblemished service, retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 29.02.2024. The main grievance of the petitioner is that, though he had retired from service as early as 29.02.2024, his terminal benefits were settled belatedly only on 25.08.2025, contrary to the Pension Rules, and without payment of any interest. That apart, while disbursing his terminal benefits, the respondents had
in correctly calculated the applicable percentage of Dearness Allowance Therefore, the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 19.10.2025 seeking interest for the belated settlement of the terminal benefits and also seeking reimbursement of the differential amount arising from the recalculation of the terminal benefits by applying the appropriate Dearness Allowance percentage. However, the said representation has not been considered to date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

Considering the limited relief sought for by the petitioner and taking note of the fact that the petitioner's representation dated 19.10.2025 has not been considered to date, the Writ Petition is allowed. The respondents are directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 19.10.2025, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
