This writ petition has been filed for the issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the Revision Petition filed by the petitioner on 13.02.2019 within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner made an application to the Tahsildar to cancel the patta given in favour of her brother, who inturn had sold the property in favour of the second respondent and mutated the Revenue Records. Tashildar. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the first respondent on 13.02.2019. On receipt of the petition, the first respondent had also issued notice for enquiry on 03.05.2019, directing the parties to be present for enquiry along with all relevant documents. It is stated by the petitioner that he has also attended the enquiry. However, thereafter there was absolutely no progress in the enquiry and therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking for a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the Revision Petition.

3.Heard Mr.R.Muthukumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.A.Aruldoss, Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the the first respondent. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the Revision Petition filed by the petitioner on 13.02.2019 strictly in accordance with law and pass final orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The first respondent before proceeding with the enquiry, shall also issue notice to the second respondent and afford opportunity before passing the final orders. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the first respondent along with a copy of this order.

5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
