W.P.No.14871 of 2015 has been filed by the petitioner to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 14.05.2015 for grant of licence/permission for running of his bunk shop Opposite to Broad Fire Office, near 5th Gate, CMDA, Chennai - 600 107, wherein selling Tea, Coffee and Food items and till such time not to disturb the running of the same.

W.P.No.14872 of 2015 has been filed by the petitioner to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 14.05.2015 for grant of licence/permission for running of his bunk shop situated at No.15, ABC Road, Opposite to Battery Company, Ambattur Estate, Chennai - 600 058, , wherein selling Tea, Coffee and Food items and till such time not to disturb the running of the same.
4. It is the case of the petitioners that they gave representations dated 13.05.2015 and 14.05.2015 respectively to the second respondent to consider their case.
5. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that this court, in W.P.Nos. 10975 to 10978 of 2015, in similar circumstances,
directed the Chennai Corporation to consider and dispose of the petitioners' representations on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks and till such time, directed the parties to maintain status quo.
6. The order passed by this court in those writ petitions, squarely applies to the facts and circumstances of the present case.
7. In view of the same, I direct the second respondent- Chennai Corporation to consider and dispose of the petitioners' representations dated 13.04.2015 and 14.05.2015 respectively on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and till such time, status quo as on today, shall be maintained. It is also made clear that the petitioners taking advantage of the interim order, shall not create any third party right in respect of the bunk shops in question.
With these observations, the writ petitions are disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 21.05.2015 Index : No Internet: Yes Note : Issue on 25.05.2015
